From the Porch is rooted in a place of antiquity, resounding a message of hope and overcoming in a culture of social and economic marginalization. Its southern dialect in fiction binds the experiences of the late-1800s to the mid-1900s that are revealing for today’s culture.

The book is the inaugural work of Dr. Linda Hogans, who draws from the roots of ancestral storytelling and word-weaving.

Learn how to organize files, install programs, and more advanced computer skills.

This class is intended for individuals already familiar with the basics of using a computer, such as using a mouse and keyboard and accsess in the internet.

Registration is required if you need to have a laptop provided for you. You are welcome to bring your own decive and attend the class.

Our knitting/crochet club meets on Wednesday evenings at the Larry R. Jackson Branch Library.

Bring your current yarn project in and chat with other yarn fanatics.
Some knowledge of either knitting or crocheting is recommended.
