It's NOT a trap! May the Fourth be with you at the library as we celebrate Star Wars Day. On Saturday May the Fourth from 2-4 pm, jump to light speed to get to the Larry R. Jackson Branch Library for Star Wars-themed activities, treats, crafts, and prizes. Robes, armor, and/or space buns encouraged.

The Star Wars Party is open to padawans, Jedi masters, and Sith lords of all ages, no registration required.

Join us at the Larry R. Jackson Branch Library for the return of our Paint With A Pro class.  We will have a local artist from Art Centric Studio teaching a guided painting class to create your own personalized painting that you can take home and proudly display.  All supplies are provided.  All you need to bring is your creativity! 

This class is for ages 18 and up.

Registration is required and will open on Monday, April 29th at 6 pm.

Cancelation Policy:

If you are unable to attend this event, please cancel your registration online at least 2 days before the event. This provides the time for the next person on the waiting list to be notified make plans to attend.

Please keep in mind that if you do not show up for the event and have not canceled ahead of time (the two-day minimum), you will be placed on the waitlist for the next Paint w/a Pro. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Calling all young builders, makers, architects, and engineers! The Larry R. Jackson Branch Library invites you to our LEGO club.

Beginners and experts ages 5-17 and their grown-ups are welcome to come work on their own LEGO creations or take our themed challenge from 5-6:30 pm. No registration required.

Playing with LEGO bricks promotes hand/eye coordination, enhances fine motor skills, develops problem solving skills, increases attention/concentration span, and unleashes creativity.

The library will provide the LEGO bricks, while the kids and teens provide the imagination! LEGO bricks will be sanitized after each use. All materials must stay in the library, so bring a camera to capture your creation. 

If you have any gently used LEGO bricks, parts, and/or minifigures to spare, please consider donating them to our LEGO Club at the Larry R. Jackson Branch Library.

Our knitting/crochet club meets on Wednesday evenings at the Larry R. Jackson Branch Library.

Bring your current yarn project in and chat with other yarn fanatics.
Some knowledge of either knitting or crocheting is recommended.

No registration is required.

Join us for a lively interactive storytime featuring books, songs, rhymes, crafts and more!

Storytime promotes the development of preliteracy, verbal and listening skills, and socio-emotional skills, and is recommended for children ages 2-5 and their grown-ups.
